OCM renews Cyber Essentials certification

OCM have renewed our Cyber Essentials certification, a simple but effective, Government backed scheme that protects OCM against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks (for more information please see https://www.cyberessentials.ncsc.gov.uk/.

The certification contains a set of basic technical controls for organisations to use to protect their users and data. The acreditation body are the IASME Consortium (https://www.iasme.co.uk/), who have recently been announced as the sole NCSC Cyber Essentials Partner from 1st April 2020.

Cyber Essentials is backed by industry including the Federation of Small Businesses, the CBI and a number of insurance organisations which are offering incentives for businesses.

The Cyber Essentials Requirements document sets out the necessary technical controls. The Assurance Framework shows how the independent assurance process works and the different levels of assessment organisations can apply for to achieve the badges. It also contains guidance for security professionals carrying out the assessments.
